I build myself a light box over the holidays. This shots are some of my first try-outs. It works pretty well for the €10.- invested.

blue hour Basilica
On the same walk where I shot the evening sky, on my way back to the car, I noticed the Basilica Mariatrost in a really great evening light. I have no tripod with me, so I took the shot with the 70-200mm freehand, what left some room open for composition. Well, next time.
evening sky over Graz
Shot this during a short winter walk in the northeast of Graz, Austria. Like the colours.
shadow
A shot from last winter – we are still waiting for snow here in middle Europe. I like the simplicity in this one…
solo swan
One more shot of the swans in the Murauen, south of Graz, Austria.
Another group of swans
Another shot from the Murauen, south of Graz, Austria. Seems that a not so small group of swans (more than in the picture) has chosen that place as their home over the winter. So I’m sure will return in the coming weeks the seek for more shooting opportunities.
group of swans
A group of swans in late afternoon light, in the Murauen south of Graz, Austria.
masher
Another shot from the same session. Guess I will invest in some more lighting gear soon.
studio ducks
I got some little lighting gadgets recently. Well, maybe they seem little to me, because I normally have some “bigger” toys at my disposal. Anyway, I had to start to experiment with these stands and umbrellas and flashes immediately, and this little yellow fellow was just right for me.
snow capped
I know, it can’t compete with what is up snow-wise in the US at the moment – but this is my first landscape shot with snow at the season.
